“The Regency Society of Brighton and Hove supports application BH2020/01216 for the erection of a five-bedroom house on the land adjoining 89 Surrenden Road.
The proposed scheme is a contemporary design with very clean junctions between surfaces. There are, for example, no gutters along the lower edges of the sloping roofs. The plans for each floor are well thought out. It is interesting to note the unusual detail on the sides at first floor level consisting of two external planted areas.
The choices of materials, red/brown tiles and white render, will blend in well with the character of the area.”

“I am sitting here in the sun looking at something I wasn’t sure I would ever see, I was so fed up with the 60s heap I bought! You and Niel have done an awesome job!”

“WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH GOULD BAXTER FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS TO UNDERSTAND AND THE REPAIR THE INFRASTRUCTURAL PROBLEMS WITH HERSTMONCEUX CASTLE, WHICH HAS BEEN OWNED BY QUEEN’S UNIVERSITY SINCE THE MID 1990S. WE COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR A MORE ATTENTIVE, KNOWLEDGABLE AND HELPFUL COMPNAY. THEY HAVE PATIENTLY ASSISTED US TO RESTORE THE SOUTH WING OF THE CASTLE IN A LARGE-SCALE HERITAGE PROJECT THAT WAS DELIVERED ON TIME AND ON BUDGET EARLIER THIS YEAR, WHICH IS NOW IN USE BY VISITORS, STAFF, AND STUDENTS AGAIN.”

“it has been a pleasure working with stephen manning at gould baxter for just over one year now.
He has kept his finger on the pulse with encompassing and objective view, and has ensured a smooth relationship with all the contractors throughout the project. Stephen has been proactive and thorough in his attention to detail, and sorted out any issues promptly.
The time and effort he has put into our extensionand refurbishment project has been invaluable.”
